Established in 1750, the Crown Derby factory brought industry to the small town of Derby and helped the town prosper. As the company’s figurines and dinnerware became popular throughout Europe, they began attracting some of the most skilled artists of the day. Under the remarkable guidance of this developed design team, the company established its reputation for excellence in design, quality, and craftsmanship.
In 1890, By order of a Royal Warrant, Queen Victoria appointed Crown Derby as “Manufacturers of Porcelain to Her Majesty.” and the company became known as Royal Crown Derby. Today the company employs 200 skilled craftspeople and still manufactures the highest quality English Fine Bone China.

They are now known as one of the last remaining original fine bone china creators that still makes all of their distinguished and authentic products in England, and specialises in luxurious functional and decorative tableware. Focusing on new and innovative designs in pattern and shape, Royal Crown Derby still remains true to their roots and continues to be inspired by English heritage and provenance.
They also continue to be world-renowned for the quality craftsmanship that's embodied at their Osmaston Works factory in Derby, England and strive to ensure their Royal Crown Derby pieces will be treasured for years to come.
