Haws was founded by John Haws, the inventor of the watering can design that is still produced, virtually unchanged to this day. John's skills as an inventor swiftly eclipsed his efforts as a horticulturalist. His watering can soon became popular with leading gardeners, winning awards and establishing the company's reputation for high quality. Each watering can is expertly handcrafted, so no two are the same, and are built to last, taking more than 200 steps to make. Each one is made in the heart of England, using local materials that are carefully sourced for sustainability and quality reducing the need for landfill. Haws is the world’s oldest manufacturer of watering cans, with their products being as enduring as their reputation.
