Christofle is a leading manufacturer of luxury silverware, founded in 1830 by Parisian jeweller Charles Christofle when he acquired a workshop belonging to his wife’s family. For almost two centuries the family-run business has been a symbol of luxury and elegance, renowned for their sterling, silverplate and stainless flatware.
Always at the forefront of the decorative arts, Christofle has been involved in all major artistic movements including Naturalism, Orientalism, Japonisme, Art Nouveau and Art Deco, and has revolutionised the design and production of silverware. They have deservedly received commissions from royalty and heads of state, and have supplied hotels, ocean liners, trains and airlines.
