Club Matters combines traditional values with a highly personalised approach. Created in 2006, the company began as the brainchild of Mary Corbett - a former Fleet Street Journalist.
A life long football supporter and former director of Southampton FC her "Club" clearly "Mattered" and so the name was born! Having travelled the length and breath of Britain following her beloved "Saints" and eaten off some "excuses for table mats", Mary realised there was a definite niche in the market for bringing style back to the boardroom.
Joined by Paula Tait in 2008 and more recently by Sabina Balcaityte and Kathryn Evans-Prosser, Club Matters has now found itself at the forefront of the bespoke tableware industry specialising in creating mats for livery companies, regiments, private clubs, sporting venues, hotels, restaurants and individuals throughout the UK and Europe.
With their personal approach and fastidious attention to detail, the team have gained a reputation for the quality of their products which are all handmade in England.
Five years ago their attention turned to design and with their creative flair and determined ideas the team embarked on producing a retail range. From delicately hand painted feathers and sea shells to intricately sketched African animals, their distinctive mats have become a by-word for quality and stylish design, culminating in being chosen to create table mats for the prestigious Royal Collection.
