The Bodum Assam tea press uses the same brewing system as the French press to allow greater control over the tea steeping process. The silicone plunger locks the tea leaves at the bottom of the filter after brewing is complete, allowing the tea to be recycled for multiple uses. Tea can be poured safely because the silicone rim secures the filter firmly into the teapot.
