For the best care, always wash your teapot in warm, soapy water before its first use, and dry thoroughly. The teapot is dishwasher safe, though hand washing is recommended to preserve its long-lasting finish. Always use oven gloves when handling any hot item, and be mindful when using it under the grill—ensure there is a 6.5 cm (2 ½ inch) gap between the heat source and the teapot. To heat frozen food, place the dish in a cold oven and allow the two to heat together. When adding liquid to a dish in the oven, always cool the product for a few minutes before serving.
